Prior to our engagement, the company had been in existence for 10 years as an investment and insurance division for one of the biggest unions in South Africa. In 2012 they felt the time was right to penetrate the very competitive mainstream South African insurance market. 

For this they were looking for a one-stop-shop brand management agency, which could create the identity of the brand...

 

When McKinsey approached us, it had no brand equity in the African public psyche. They wanted to lift their brand image in the minds of smart young Africans, to attract the best intellectual talent on the continent for employment.

To help come up with a young talent program they engaged two agencies to pitch for a recruitment campaign centered around their exhibition stands and brand messaging.

URBAN BREW STUDIO

After our astounding success on Dumisa (a UBS business unit), the UBS board asked us to pitch for the new UBS website. The team that was working on it – to which they had already paid an initial deposit – was not providing the solution that the UBS content manager wanted.

The complexity of their requirements lay in the the website needing to be both a new business driver for leisure consumers, while also still talking to business customers...

BIOTECH LABS

Biotech came to us needing a new responsive website with a product catalogue function to update content. They also required a function to capture a database of medical practitioners and a gateway to screen non-medical practitioners for high-schedule drugs, as required by the legislation.

Their current site was non-responsive, static, and they could not update content...

When Dumisa approached us, they were seeking to increase their digital footprint in the South African and African gospel entertainment markets.

 

They wanted to use the gospel collateral that they had created over the years as a tool to push traffic to their website. They wanted this traffic to result in registrations to their database, for their future strategy of monetizing content streaming and content-on-demand.
